are emerging as major public health problems in Developing countries
like India. The economic and social liberalisation taking place
in India will lead to improvements in living standards and controls
of communicable diseases. India is one of the few developing
countries that has formulated a National Cancer Control Programme.
Education to promote primary prevention, early detection and
appropriate referral are factors that should be underscored
in any cancer control programmes. |
